How do we begin?
Let’s start with a conversation. Schedule a Free Consultation Call, which will take 15 minutes for individuals and 20 minutes for couples or families.
On this call, we will briefly discuss your reasons for seeking therapy at this time, explore if my therapy styles and approaches are a good match for your needs, and answer any questions you may have about fees, insurance, or scheduling that were not addressed in the Fees & FAQs page. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule your 60-minute Initial Assessment Session, where we’ll dive deeper and start building your personalized plan for growth and change.
What to do BEFORE your first 60-minute Initial Assessment Session
Before our first 60-minute appointment, I will email you a link to set up your secure profile via SimplePractice, a secure, HIPAA-compliant private client portal. Once your account is set up, you can access important information regarding Relationship Works’ procedures and policies.
It is very important that you take time to read through and complete the required paperwork, and put your credit card on file via Ivy Pay (a HIPAA-compliant secure platform) at least two business days before your scheduled appointment. Your appointment will only be confirmed once these steps are completed.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your initial assessment appointment, please notify us at least two business days in advance. If you wish to reschedule after cancellation, we will require completed paperwork and a payment card on file before scheduling a new appointment date.
What can I expect during the first 60-minute Initial Assessment Session?
Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and delve deeper into what’s brought you to therapy. We will review the paperwork completed in the portal and address any questions you may have about our work. Together, we’ll explore what you hope to achieve through therapy – what do you envision for your life after graduating from therapy? This approach helps us begin with a clear end goal in mind, ensuring we look back to move forward effectively.
Before concluding this session, we will recap all that was discussed, including any insights gained. This review will help us determine the pace and direction for future sessions. We’ll make sure to confirm the details of our next meeting before we part.
Your best life is waiting! The fact that you have read to this point means you are likely ready for change – and I am here to help you make it happen.
